Carpet Sampling Cassette Kit

Cat. No. 225-9540

Sample carpet for indoor contaminants such as molds, pollens, and dust mites.

Each kit includes Carpet Casse e with disposable template, Luer adapter, zip bag,

and label.

Sampling

Review pump operating instructions before sampling.

1. Calibrate the pump to

10 L/min. Detach the

flowmeter once desired

ﬂ ow rate is set.

2. Remove the red plugs

from a Carpet Casse e.

3. Insert the tubing adapter

Luer into the tubing.

Connect the cassette to

the adapter.

4. Place the supplied paper

template ﬂ at on the area

to be sampled.

Note: It is recommended that you select

a place away from major traﬃ c, but not

under furniture.

5. Turn on the pump and begin

“vacuuming” the entire area within

the template using a back and forth

side-to-side motion. Then repeat

vacuuming in an up and down cross

direction. Vacuum as deeply into the

pile as possible.

6. A er the desired sample has been taken, replace the red plugs on the casse e

and send to a laboratory for analysis.
